Our principals are approved by the majority of the world’s technical engineering consultants in the fields of chemicals, petrochemicals, oils and gases, water and nuclear power. They are also registered with Engineers India Ltd. and major companies such as Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd., Bharat Petroleum Co. Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd. and Reliance Industries Ltd. They also specialise in NACE and HIC fittings for offshore industries.

Exotic Alloys covering the full range of duplex, super duplex, nickel, nickel alloys, titanium and other non-ferrous materials. These alloys come in the form of sheets and plates - welded and seamless pipes, tubes, bars, pipe fittings and flanges - filler wires and electrodes. Standard sizes of the above are available from stock or can be ordered from us if required in non-standard sizes, in such case we can provide them to your specifications. In addition, VENUS is in the position to offer a quick turnaround on proof machine components or even on spools that need to be made to the clients’ drawings and specifications and produced in super alloys. This service is therefore extremely valuable to the maintenance divisions of the process industries in India.

Welded and Seamless Pipes and Tubes can be supplied in carbon steel, stainless steel and alloy steel grades, in a full range of outer diameter sizes and wall thicknesses. We can deliver these pipes and tubes within 4-5 days in India, due to the strategic locations of our principals’ warehouses.

Sheets and Plates can be supplied in line with international specifications and in thicknesses from 0.20mm to 150mm, and in widths of up to 4,000mm. We can therefore meet the demands of the marine and shipbuilding industries along with all the other process industries. Unlike many other suppliers we can offer boiler quality plates with mill delivery of 4 to 6 weeks.

Forged and Butt Welded Fittings, like tees, scrapper tees, elbows, reducers, bends, caps and crosses can be manufactured from 1/2” to 80”, as per international specifications and design codes whether from our stock of over 60,000 tonnes or produced to a customer’s specifications.

Cupro-nickel Piping Package of welded and seamless pipes, forged, butt welded and pressed fittings, solid and composite flanges, collars, outlets and bars can be offered on behalf of our manufacturers. Our manufacturers have more than 45 years experience of catering to the shipbuilding and offshore industries, among others, and have supplied international companies such as Alstom, Ansaldo, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Sidem, Snamprogetti, Sozen and others.

Forgings and Flanges can be supplied from our principal who has 20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, they have their own distribution facilities and extensive links with many world-class forgers. They can supply any kinds of forgings and flanges, as per international specifications and in all grades and sizes. They are also on the approved vendor list of Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd.

Line Pipes, Casing and Tubing, we have three production lines with an annual capacity of 13,50,000 tonnes, with pipe outer diameter ranging from 4” to 72” and wall thicknesses from 3.2mm to 25.4mm. The API approved ERW and LSAW line pipes are mainly supplied for use in the gas, oil and water industries, and we have also successfully supplied companies such as GAIL. Our seamless line pipes and tubes can also be supplied from stock in sizes ranging from 6mm to 610mm in their outer diameter, with a wall thickness of 1.6mm to 36mm. We can also supply from stock seamless pipe casing in sizes ranging from 4 1/2” to 20” in outer diameter and seamless tubing in sizes ranging from 2 3/8” to 4 1/2” in outer diameter

Forged, and Cast Valves like Ball, Butterfly, Check, Gate, Globe and Needle can be supplied in all kinds of grades, with a size range from 1/4” to 200”, with pressure ratings up to ANSI 4500lbs. Our principals are on the approved vendors list of Engineers India Ltd. and Projects & Developments India Ltd. who cater for the gas and oil, chemical, petrochemical, fertilizer and, especially, the nuclear power industry.

Centrifugal Cast Ductile Iron Pipes and Fittings, which we supply in a range from DN 80mm to DN 1200mm and in accordance with ISO 2531 or GB 13295. Our manufacturer with over 14 years experience, having an annual pipe production capacity of over 1,50,000 tonnes and 2,000 tonnes of fittings. We mainly cater to the water and sewerage Industries.

Super Alloys, with the increasing demands of today’s process industries comes the need for better technology and more sophisticated equipment. Increasing productivity and reducing downtime in process plants is very desirable, as such more industries are focusing on materials which will provide a longer life in service and perform better under the harsh conditions found in the oil, gas, chemical and petrochemical industries. Due to this trend VENUS has developed a strategic network of internationally renowned suppliers of nickel alloy and super alloy materials. This is because nickel alloys are corrosion resistant, have a high temperature strength and have special magnetic, and thermal expansion, properties.

Nickel Copper Alloys are used where a higher strength is needed than that of pure nickel. They are resistant to corrosion in a wider range of environments than pure nickel, although for some specialist applications nickel would be superior. However, nickel copper alloys have a wide range of applications, such as in oil refining and marine applications where a long, corrosion-free life is needed. Because of their excellent thermal conductivity, they are often used in heat exchangers where sea water is one of the concerned fluids.

Nickel Chromium Based Alloys are used extensively where heat resistance or corrosion resistance is required. In conditions that are less demanding, some nickel can be replaced by iron to reduce the overall cost. Metals fail at high temperatures by oxidation (scaling) and through a loss of strength. Nickel chromium based alloys are designed to resist these problems, although they are not suitable for high temperature, sulphur rich environments. Where corrosion resistance is an issue, molybdenum can be used as an alloying addition.

Carbon Steel is composed of alloying elements that don’t exceed these limits: 1% carbon, 0.6% copper, 1.65% manganese, 0.4% phosphorus, 0.6% silicon and 0.05% sulphur.

Alloy Steel is a steel which exceed the limit for carbon steel and also contains elements which are not found in carbon steels, such as nickel, chromium (up to 3.99%), cobalt, etc.

Stainless Steel, contains at least 10% chromium, with or without other elements. Based on its structure, stainless steel can be divided into three grades:

  • Austenitic, typically contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel and is widely known as 18-8. Nonmagnetic in annealed condition, this grade can only be hardened by cold working.

  • Ferritic, contains very little nickel and either 17% chromium or 12% chromium with other elements such as aluminum or titanium. Always magnetic, this grade can be hardened only by cold working.

  • Martensitic, typically contains 12% chromium and no nickel. This grade is magnetic and can be hardened by heat treatment.
